A visit to the Tourist Office is recommended as at the tourist office you will find there is much valuable information. There are maps and brochures of the city and they can give you much information particularly on cultural and sporting events taking place during your visit. They can tell you where to go in Luxembourgd. Be sure to gather as much information as you can because it will help you in deciding what all you want to do during your visit. They also run a number of interesting tours so ask about these. A further service they offer is an individual tourist guide who will take you to where you wish to go - these fully trained people are available to either individuals or groups for a cost of €35 to €50 but any outing can be tailored to suit your needs.
There is also a Luxembourg Card for Visitors which allows you many discounts etc as well as free transport and free or discounted entry to many museums and attractions - it also gives you discounts on bus tours, etc. The cost of the card is less than €15 for an adult.
