Of course, in the centre of the city your best bet is to walk and stroll around and this is the best way to soak up the atomosphere of the Old Town and the Ramparts and Fortifications. In the evening they have a great bus service which will take you exactly where you want to go - almost like your own personal taxi - ask your hotel about these buses - you book the bus by ringing 8002 1010 and give about 30 minutes notice. A single journey on a Nightbus is about €12 and the two way fare is €15-18 -They run only on Friday and Saturday nights.
For daytime buses you can buy a single ticket for a trip for up to one hour for about $1.50 and you can buy books of ten tickets at a discount. One day tickets for indiviudals or for families (2 to 5 people) are also available. And a great thing about two and three day tickets is they don’t have to be used on consecutive days.
